Art & Advaita: What’s the difference? Funny, huh?

I made something for Noel.  He now owns this priceless piece of art that I made out of a piece of cardboard.  One of his machines made a mistake, which was clearly visible on this cardboard.  The dark spots in the piece are globs of silicone that leaked from some modules we make.  I colored around it and got creative with it.  This picture doesn’t capture the whole thing, but if you want I can arrange for a photograph to be sent to you.  Heck, I’ll even sell it to the highest bidder – that is, if I can clear it through Noel.

Dipswitches

I have nothing spectacular to blog about today.  The Advaita thing is alluring, and I was consumed by it for a while.  Now, I don’t have any particular longings about it one way or the other.  I am still reading “I Am That” with Nisargadatta Maharaj.  I love it!  I’m patiently waiting my turn with realization.  Not strongly pushing, nor pulling.  It will come when it comes… or it won’t.  Either way, I’m OK with whatever happens.

I have changed directions, leaning more towards art.  I’ve even finished a few projects over the last few months, which is phenomenal because I would usually start something then let it sit because I never knew how to finish it.  I didn’t want to finish them because I was afraid of messing it up.  I don’t care anymore.  I love the process.  Thank God for a supportive wife!  She really is fantastic!

Until next time…
